About Shop For Who

I started the shop as an eBay store in 2023, after being frustrated at the insane prices some iconic Doctor Who merch was being sold at on there - particularly new releases that weren’t available readily. I then moved over from eBay to this dedicated website on Christmas Day 2024.

Nowhere, unfortunately. shopforwho.co.uk is an online store only, however occasionally I do materialise as a pop up shop at some conventions and other events in the UK. Check out the Events page for more info!

I’m Charlie, I run this shop all on my own. I make everything from the instagram posts, to the seasonal catalogues, to packing and dispatching every single order. You won’t find a more personable shopping experience anywhere else! I discovered Doctor Who on the 2nd April 2005. Somehow I’d missed episode 1, but I sat down to watch The End of the World live on BBC One and I’ve been hooked ever since. I have vivid memories of trawling my local town’s Woolworths and Argos stores searching for Doctor Who figures and that same energy is what makes this shop what it is today. I don’t really have a favourite Doctor but if I was forced to choose, it’d be a three way tie between 7, 9 and 13.

I try to stock as much variety and nostalgia as possible. The 5” action figure line was a particular passion of mine as a kid so you will find LOADS of them here! As well as these there are loads more toys, magazines, accessories, random (and sometimes cursed) collectables too! The majority of stock on the website is (can we call it antique?) old stock from now around 20 years ago - rescued from collectors - but I do also stock brand new releases direct from the manufacturers, including anything Character Options or Mattel that is made available for mass retail. Almost all of the shop’s products are sealed in their original packaging too. The only exceptions are loose single trading cards, spare figure accessories and loose Character Building figures.

Finding some items that have been discontinued for 20 years is a pretty mean feat. Moreso trying to find them at a great price that I can pass onto you. Thankfully some amazing collectors in the community are willing to sell some of their excess items to help keep this shop stocked with great price nostalgic products! It’s tricky. My goal for the shop is to be as affordable as possible, but some items are still very sought after and hard to find. I do my best to price everything as competitively as possible. Using 5” figures as an example, my goal would be to sell all figures at around £10-15, but to allow this to be the case, some rarer figures will sell for a higher price to allow the majority to stay within that price range. New retail releases will of course always be at RRP (or better!).

There’s a few ways you can save in the shop; Roundels - these are shopforwho.co.uk’s loyalty points. You collect these on purchases and you can use them to get money off future purchases. Discount Codes - I don’t use these very often but you may find one in one of the catalogues or on a promotional instagram post once in a while. Giveaways - Again, look out on instagram or in the shopforwho catalogues for more info!
